I just finished reconstructing the Wayrift Fan Art Corner thumbnail by thumbnail. Now, all thumbnails should be larger and should actually zoom in on a piece of the artwork in the proper dimensions (instead of simply stretching the whole picture to fit in the thumbnail). I have also gone through and given each piece a proper description and attributed it to the proper artist. You can see a sample of this in the “Fan Art Corner” widget on the left side of the site.
I also wanted to post my thanks for something very important. Most of you may not realize that keeping all the sites at Sygnus running is a monthly out of pocket expense for me. However, I love my sites and my projects and all the folks who stop by… so the cost is very much worth it. Because of the fan nature of our works, we don’t ask for any monetary donations. Even the little bit that’s made from the store stays in the store bank to be used for purchasing prizes for our contests. Honestly, money is something that doesn’t come up around this site much at all because Syn and I do this for luv and not for profit.
I do have (somewhat ugly) sponsor banner ads posted on the site. And I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has visited our sponsors over the last few months. In June, I received our very first Google payout for these sponsor ads. I don’t want to trumpet too loud but the truth is, this may be the first year that the site has made (any) money to cover the cost of monthly web hosting and maybe some advertising.
Thank you all for your support in visiting our sponsors and clicking the vote links! You have no idea how far a little bit of your time goes to spreading the word about Wayrift.

Umm, the thumbnails now have lots of space, but they are still rectangles for my browser. I’m using IE. Does that make a difference? I don’t have any other browsers to try it on at the moment…
The gallery presentation is really cool though! By which I mean the way the pictures pop up after you click on them and there are back and next buttons. That bit works great.
Try holding down the Shift button on your keyboard and clicking refresh on your browser while viewing the Fan Corner page. That may completely refresh the thumbnails.
If not, you’ll need to clear your cache — your browser has “saved” the old version of the image to temporary files on your computer and has not refreshed to the new.
