NOTE: The Authors were on vacation last week, so they left the Wayrift update in the hands of the figments — namely, our favorite Baronian Red Shirt, Junior. This is a three part comic triggered by the “Sword vs. Scythe” conversation located in the comments section on Chapter 42, Page 17. These pages will also contain references that poke fun at the original version of “Final Fantasy IV” and the PSP version of “Dissidia.” Our regularly scheduled comic will return next week. Enjoy!
Tai: * reappears behind BSC with a scythe swing*
BSC: *ducks, getting his hair sliced over * Whoooa! Cheap shot! *slides down and attempts to take Tai down with a foot sweep*
Tai: *polevaults out of the way with his scythe, spinning around to face BSC*
BSC: *catches Tai’s blade with his sword, and gets slammed back into the wall* URMPH!
BSC: Okay… *looks at Tai with determination…* If we’re going to play that way!! *suddenly pushes forward with a blast of inhuman speed and agility, spinning and hacking at Tai*
Tai: *eyes narrow and darken as he goes on defense* ARR!
BSC: I was expecting a workout, Mr. Tai… not a lunch date..
Tai: As you wish, Your Majesty.
BSC: You fight like a girl!
Tai: That’s you in the mirror!
*big fight*
BSC: Mr Tai, you can’t even REACH the mirror in the morning!
Tai: That’s it! I’m going to kick the royal out of you!
BSC: That’s if you can reach my kneecaps, Mr. Tai!
BSC: *slides out of the cloud, beaten up a bit*
Tai: *angry, disheveled hair look*
Zeb: *stands before them* MWEHEHEHEHE! Face it… you both suck!
BSC: Hey, no handwaving in the weapons room!
Tai: Dorq.
The plot thickens! (Ok, there’s not really a plot).
This will be interesting, though. Will both of them attack Zeb? Will Zeb just laugh at them as they continue to hack at each other? Will I stop making wild predictions? Find out on Friday!

For this fight so far, I kind of have to agree with Zeb. Less insult flinging, more bashing of weapons.
Obviously someone has not played the Monkey Island games. Insult swordfighting is classic, I say.
Insult flinging is what Tai does best… besides slashing things up with his scythe. Neither of them were super-super serious here. It’s just a good-natured spar. If Tai were fighting for real, he’d mostly be silent (probably the same for BSC, too). ^_~
(*looks at Cecil*) Cheap shot? Man, you need to fight against more “non-legal” fighters. What Tai did is what I get when playing my games, and some of those guys just need two hits to have me on my knees.
Oooooh, is Zeb going to join the show? Someone call a white mage, their going to need some healing XD
