Though I could understand the… uneasyness that would come from the mental image of a spellcasting Kory, I think that BSC’s thoughts on mages is not very good and pure. What about not judging people by their jobs, uhm?

Well, he’s from Eblan. He knows Ninjutsu, which is like Black Magic, but different. So he’s not a handwaver… he’s a ninja. And that’s not nearly as scary of an image, Kory as a ninja. …Er, actually, the more I think about that, the scarier it DOES get. I’mma stop thinking now.

He’s more of a fail ninja and doesn’t really have any magic abilities. Anything he’s done in the comic previously was a joke — he can’t really disappear or anything.

I don’t remember if this is canon here, but can’t Cecil use white magic himself, plus a lot of people he fought with during the crystal wars used magic. This seems quite hypocritical, I am guessing it is based on his lack of knowledge on the subject, preferring to fight just with his sword.
