Professor KoryProfessor Kory is a travelling scholar who just happened to have close encounters of the weird kind. His main focus of study was the Red Moon… before it left the Blue Planet’s orbit. Down on his luck with women, he turned his attention towards freeing his long time friend, Aiden KluYa, from the curse of Mt. Ordeals. KY: So many of our old friends… old loves… gone.
Kory: *looks up at Tellah and grumbles* Old grouch. *crosses his arms* I’m surprised Tellah doesn’t come and haunt me as a ghost.
Zemi: You knew him?
Kory: Of course I did. He was a member of the Academy, along with the Elder, who was just a young apprentice at the time. Tellah was a pain in the butt. Gave a bad name to all Mysidian handwavers at the time – he was dangerous and careless in his younger years. Arrogant and snotty… it would be his overconfidence that would be his doom. *sighs* We all told him, and he never listened.

“But he certainly had an… interesting way with words.” :3

What? Calling someone spoony when they are mad is a PERFECTLY valid use of the English language!

Thats the one that tried to blow up Golbez and killed himself in the process?

Yes, that is.

Poor Tellah…he deserves many monuments…

Tellah!? Tellah!? Are we talking about the same guy? The same guy that blocked Cecil’s path and practically threw himself on the party? Go build him a hovel in Kaipo, not a statue in Baron. Heck, he was a Mysidian, not even a Baronian! He’d probably take it as an insult.
He was an old fool! *sniff* I’m not crying!

Except he KNEW he COULDN’T match the octomamm which is why he BEGGED for Cecil’s and Rydia’s help; hardly arrogant, overconfident, or snotty. And if it wasn’t for him, they may have not made it past the monster octopus and they would NOT have defeated (not all his fault really) Golbez on Zot, thereby giving the entire world a chance to fight against the darkness, the same darkness which was the root cause of Anna’s death. And he certainly helped Cecil become a paladin along with Porom and Palom during his journey up the Ordeals, aided them in helping Yang recover, his magic was invaluable in the magnetic cave, and he was even able to not only forgive Edward but fight on his behalf as well; a selfless and wonderful act of friendship and compassion.
And all you did was look at the moon, Mr. Jealous.
**Pulls Kory’s underwear over his head**
Ya big meanie. Harumph!

Tellah? Selfless and wonderful? Excuse me? Are we talking about the same man here? If you seem to remember, he followed Cecil only so that he could bean Edward. When that was over, he shoved oh-so-brave-Paladin hero over and ran off for his own purposes.
When he went up the mountain, it was for his OWN reasons. Cecil and the kids were there to help HIM uncover secrets that he needed to blow Golbez up to little tyrant-bits.
I won’t argue that his magic was… useful. I will argue that he was in it for his OWN purposes and gain. If someone would have told him to shove Cecil off the mountain in order to beat Golbez, I have no doubt he would have done it!
Now excuse me while I go to the boys room and attempt to remove the underwear crown I have been given!
I don’t miss that sap! Not one bit! And no! I’m not crying! That’s just moisture from the burnt food in the kitchen bothering my eyes!

No; he went to stop Anna because he was trying to be a good father. When your daughter elopes, that hurts. Sure, he was overprotective, but he made the right decision in STOPPING his assault and FORGAVE Edward. Furthermore, Anna’s confession of love is what convinced him of his fault.
Furthermore, he knew of the Legend (being Mysidian) and knew Cecil to be a potent ally who was in the same fight as he was. He was helping Cecil for the right reasons; why else would there be monuments of the Great Sage all over Baron and Mysidia?
In addition, he knew the hypnotized-Golbez to be treacherous and called him on it. Therefore, it makes no logical sense of him to have any inkling of betrayal himself. Yes, he fought for revenge, but he also commented on the need to end the evil, so he fought for that noble purpose as well.
Finally, again: what were YOU doing to save the world at the time?
…hey Aiden, how about a break from kipburgers? I hear Elbanian scholars, while scrawny, can be very tasty if prepared and cooked right, especially with rosemary and SAGE.

*winces*
Actually… *pauses* There have been many times where I’ve been driven to that type of hunger. But then I realize… you have to think about the food… and where it has been. Even I have standards.
*whispers*
I think Kory is just hiding the fact that he misses Tellah too. *pauses* I actually liked the old man. He would have made a great Lunar Sage in my time, I think?
Give Luv:

If you liked Tellah, then surely he was a good man. And I would trust your judgment in his ability to be as potent as you say completely…
…although if you ever change your mind on Elbanian kebabs, just let me know
