*It’s one of those double half doors with a top and a bottom – the top is open, as Sam always tends to keep it*
Tai: Hey, kid. *grabs her arm gently to stop her* Watch yourself, alright? I’m feeling some sort of mind suckage going on in there. I don’t much like… mind suckage. *goes through the door first*
Leona: Mind suckage? *shrugs and just follows*
Tai: *creeps in through the deserted back room, feeling more and more prickly as he goes, a light coming from the main room*
Leona: What the…?

I do have to say, I hate it when you can’t find the right words. I find myself using “thingy” way too much when I can’t think of the right word. The point normally comes across though, so I guess it doesn’t really matter.
Ooooh…
…Mind suckage brings to mind a little picture of Zemus with his mouth on Tai’s head trying to eat his brains. Wut.
That is both a funny and a scary thought to picture. Maybe Tai should wear a helmet to stop that. Like Magneto from X-men. It also makes me think of illithids and cthlulu. This normally brings around thoughts of end of the world. The question is, what would Tai’s expression be to Zemus sucking on his head?
Two words: absolute revulsion.
Puke. Just puke.
-Gives Tai a helmet and a small paper bag to puke in- ^.^
Why bother? Puking on Zemus is more fun.
-comtemplates how one would puke onto something that is ontop of one’s head- /(:
I’d beat him off my head first, naturally.
I simply lack the vocabulary to describe how much I agree with you, Tai. Usually i’m able to invent a few words, but i’m just speechless now.
Why has none ever realized this before, anyway?
Oh, and does this mean you will beat and/or kill him up once he shows his brainless face? pretty please.
I am still laughing at the image of an annoyed Tai with a Zemus sucking on his head, followed by Tai yanking Zemus off his head, jumping up and down on him, puking on him and stalking off, leaving a smelly Zemus mess behind.
I know that this is a double post, but I couldn’t help myself.
(in a big showman voice) “Here is Tai, sporting a lovely Zemi-hat. Not only is it stylish, but it is effective against mind sucking attacks. Wear this one of a kind hat to avoid having Zemus suck on your head.” :3
I want a Zemi dragon hat D:
Very nice vocabulary Tai. Was that a word you learned from Zemi?
Mind suckage? No. That was a word I created, actually.
Of course, that would mean that you would have to have something to suck out to begin with. Maybe the path to unsuckage enlightenment is through having no thoughts to begin with. -runs and hides-
Might explain why it doesn’t work on Drake.
Looks like the mind-sucking does work on me since I replied to the wrong post. See my above comment for what i wanted to say here.
And I suppose Leona is now going to more or less ignore Tai’s warning.
It was nice of him to tell her about it though.
I guess if your brother’s an anthrylith you get to have a pretty good vocabulary for describing them.
That’s pretty much it, with Tai’s brother being a mind mage and all. I think Tai might have even used the term “mind suckage” or “mind sucker” in the later chapters of Dreigiau somewhere…. yep. Found it, in a conversation between him and SoYa:
TsuYa’s face twisted in a scowl for a moment before he grumbled, “What did I tell you about using your mind-suck powers on me?”
And then later on in the chapter:
“I knew you’d say that,” the Athrylith teased softly.
“Of course you did, mindsucker.”

I think it’s a very good description, considering; though……..I wonder what Kip would think of it? :p
it’s MUAVE mindsucking
I just got to that chapter!
“Mind suckage” kind of reminds me of illithids from D&D… People with tentacles that that get stuck on your head and start eating your brain. Igh…
Now let’s see how that surprise attack works, because Tai and Leona don’t look like the silent type…
My guess is it fails miserably, cause we still dont know if what Kip did earlier has any lingering effects on Leona. She may just try to stop Tai (which will also proboly fail miserably), or wind up joining into the dogpile holding Ben down.
don’t go into the light tai!
