On the same note: What would Ben’s alignment be? I have the feeling he tries to be Lawful Good, but he seems to go toward Chaotic or Neutral Good.

I’d put Ben more as neutral than chaotic, to be honest. He does tend to follow the human law most of the time. But if he sees something going on that he really feels is a danger to others, he’ll protest against it, law or not. So basically, he has his own code of right and wrong that he follows… though he strives very hard to always do what he feels is right.

is Cecil really all that scary without his pretty sword? Besides, I think he’s pretty attached to it… he might even cry when he hears it’s shattered.
On the other hand, it’s a sword… it’s main purpose is to whack it at baddies, possibly wearing black heavy plate armor. I doubt throwing it against the wall will break it. If that would work, it would definitely say something about the sturdiness of the aforementioned baddies.

I’m okay now. Spent about a week with a common cold. Before that my non internet computer’s Seagate drive bricked itself up and everything on it (which was most of everything I have computer and records wise), though it isn’t gone for good, is bricked up with it. I’m waiting on figuring out how to deal with that. In the meantime I had to get my grubby paws on anther (non-Seagate) drive and re-install a few things. The ironic bit is I was going to back up my stories and school stuff when I made the unfortunate discouvery. I still have some old drafts but I don’t want to start working on those again because I might be able to get my better drafts back… in time.
Sometimes it’s difficult to resist the urge to give the computer a good hard kick. I’m sure lots of people experience this.

I totally know the feeling. I keep regular backups of my hard drives after my one big crash a few years ago. It didn’t just brick, it fried. And I lost about a year’s worth of irreplaceable Wayrift chats/writing/art when that happened.
Syn will tell you that I cried for two weeks about losing that data (I’m a hopeless pack rat). We did everything to try to recover that data but it was a real mechanical crash in the drive. No luck. : <
