KY: *sighs and runs his hand over the sword* I’m going to need some time to work to fix the enchantment on this sword so this doesn’t happen again. I doubt the boy likes to be far away from his weapon.
Leona: That’s an understatement.
Tai: *mutters* Scythes are better.
Kory: I would say this is a time for a celebration… *looks at the icebox* But unless your palette runs the direction of strawberries with tartar sauce, cinnamon, fish, with a helpful topping of ketchup, cereal and pickles…
Leona: Zemi! What did you do?
Zemi: Nothing! I was just looking through it!
Kory: The magical ice-box has been raided.
Leona: *thoughtful* I know! I’ll grab some grub at Sam’s!
KY: Sam’s?
Leona: Only the best food this side of Baron!
Ben: Bring me back something!
Leona: Special Double Dipper!
Ben: Yeaaaaaah! *gives Leona a gil*

“scythes are better.” That made me laugh. Go Tai! Scythes are better if you have the marked strength to swing a huge heavy blade way out on the end of a long pole.
Ben: Ice cream! XD
Of course scythes are better, Tsu – Though I say nothing beats bows and Tae Kwan Do. (though if I could find a way to learn scytheweaponry, or whatever it’s called….)
And yaaay, Happy Ben!
Also, Ky’s hair no longer looks like a shampoo modeler’s . <:{
Tai Kwon Do!
Now, Tai, you wouldn’t happen to have just a teensy bit of prejudice, would you? I mean, I think laser cannons are better.
hehehe!! sorry, my friend once typed lascanoons instead of lascannon. It was funnier at the time.
I love my glaive!! *squee!!* you wouldn’t want to face me after I’ve been practicing with it. I get this evil glint in my eye and grin on my face. It scares my family, lol! But then again, they made it for me, so it’s their fault…
PS: PLEASE update your archives, I got lost a week or so ago, after I hadn’t been on in ages.
Sorry about that. It’s on my to-do list very soon!
As far as I’m concerned… Yeah, scythes are better. You learn to fear a peasant armed with something like that when you’re a D&D player. And there’s that tale of a Neverwinter Nights game were the player killed a demon who acted as a final boss with two hits of his scythe…
Scythes are NOT better!
Any weapon that doesn’t give you much room for up close and personal maneuvering is only good for dealing with cavalry. (Unless it works well in formation like the Macedonian or Greek Phalanx… those particular styles are deadly… and I’ll admit the spears work when combined with a proper shield… but even these people had backup weapons when things got really close). I’d like to see a battle line form with scythes like Tai’s, no one would have room to do anything. The problem is that you can’t stab with a scythe… and if you suddenly can it’s not a scythe anymore, it’s really a spear. Tai’s scythe is only really effective because of his super strength; though to be fair I must admit that it’s more like that strength allows Tai to do the scythe justice…
Three words: Disciplined Heavy Infantry!
Personally, I’ll take a Roman Scutum (shield, the big ones that cover everything) and a Gladius over a scythe any day! Works excellently when fighting in formation and one on one. Then again, I doubt a Gadius and Shield would be a good choice for Tai. Each to their own I suppose.
Wait… wait hold up! I never said something leet as a scythe was for everyone. Only the select few.
And it’s not just my awesome strength that makes it work. It’s my extreme skills.
Well you have had more than enough time to practice I suppose.
That is beside the point.
well atleast no one can dispute your mean skills, tai!
No. No way am I disputing Tai’s elite skills…
I’m not THAT stupid.
Heh… I’ll dispute Tai’s skillz anyday! He’s just a little dorq with an oversized mouth.
Wanna see Tai fail?
Dreigiau, Chapter 4-4.
Mweh.
Wanna see Zeb fail? Final Fantasy 4. The whole game.
I think someone better take some SHADDUP-pills before he finds himself flattened to the ground by a good meteo spell.
*huffs* And it was five against one.. not one vs. one in all of your cases.
Five against one?
*makes mocking Zeb voice* That Mist Dragon… blew my Shadow Dragon… away! *hand on head dramatics*
Face it. You got beat up by a little girl.
And let’s not talk about the old man Fu who kicked your tail.
That wasn’t even fair! And.. *snuffs* It was Rydia.. and she had been a little girl the last time that I saw her! She could only summon a chocobo.
Tai, you’ve been beaten up by little girls your entire life… before you even raise your scythe… Let’s see now…
Suzume…
JouKa…
and now, even Zazo beats up on you! Face it… you’re a complete pushover!
*snuffs* And even your little curly headed mindmage brother beats you everytime. Tell me ONE time that you’ve ever bested him?
Don’t you bring SoYa into this or… or… I’ll have him beat you up! And he can! *grumbles* |: <
Mr. Tai…
I’m sorry that I will have to agree with Can. A well armored heavy infantry, properly equipped with good armor, a frontline with strong arms and shields, along with a healthy mix of pikemen (or some form of polearm wielders), archers, and limited calvary, is my group of choice. Having the tactical advantage in terms of placement is also important.
I personally like the sword and the shield combination. Larger shields when I’m part of a group, and smaller shields when I need the mobility and am fighting in closer quarters. Then again, with some of the special ‘enchanted’ weaponry that I have found, it changes the game quite a bit.
Ha-ha-ha! See? My brother thinks my weapon is better than yours!
*sighs* Only a hand-waver thinks of weapons as ‘better’ in absolute terms. Especially a hand-waver who stabs himself half the time.
You. *points at BSC* Sparring room. Now. |: O
Cancel my appointments. >: )
You’re on!
Hmm, sparing session with Tai vs Cecil, this I want to see.
First though, I need popcorn (and maybe a few things to throw at Cecil).
DUUUUUDE! i hafta see this! -grabs popcorn and lawn chair- now look what you’ve done Can! set off this epicness!
…i love how this all starts on a side comment…i totally was going to say tho “scythes are better way to go tai!” but some1 took the words from my mouth
O_o I go away for a few hours, and I miss all the fun! >_< This isn't fair!
Oh, well, can I join the audience? I don't have a preference on who wins… But fun is fun nonetheless XD (*brings the popcorn*)
*grabs ref hat* One Two Three Begin!
Let’s try to keep the room relatively intact shall we? maybe?
*opens pretzel bag* anyone want some?
Yaay! Pretzels!
I’m voting on Zento crashing through the ceiling….. Or maybe Blue.
Ben, last panel, FUNNY and very happy.
It’s just not fair! If I were to say “Hey you!” to King Cecil… I’d have ‘kitchen patrol’ for a WEEK!
And what’s this with the ‘cancel my appointments’ bit. Does he know what it means when the appointments all get canceled? It’s not that easy to schedule all these meetings that he wants in the first place, and then he just cancels them on a whim. I have to send out messengers to every corner of the world… profusely apologize to the Eblanian delegation… and cancel a lunch-date with his wife all because he wants to spar.
*huffs* Well… it’s not my fault if he gets the couch.
But then again, he’ll find some reason to make it my fault… *sighs* It’s always tough being the King’s royal peon….
wait for meee!
*enters wearing ben costume carrying candy, popcorn and kantal*
*grabs some pretzals*
thanks sam!
Sure I’ll take pretzels! *joins the group watching*
Just my two cents- I’d go with bows are better. Long-range, rapid-fire, not as heavy….I’m probably biased there. Me + sword or scythe or spear = fail ^^; (I’d be like Zeb/Ben and be in danger of hurting myself). But each to his own- I’d say what is better depends mostly on the particular person and situation.
*Dashes in, panting* Oh, dear, I hope I’m not too late!
BSC vs. Tai…
Um, sorry BSC…
Hehehe, I love watching the figments talk/argue/battle/etc.
Shouldn’t Panel 4 say ‘palate’ rather than ‘palette’?
Tai, he runs his mouth about everthing.
Kind of like me, ergo the comments I’ve been spamming you with. ;D
