Ben: *takes a deep breath and reaches his hands out towards Zemi’s hands, trying not to touch the sword*
Zemi: *doesn’t look so sure either* Be… careful…
Ben: I’m not going to touch it.
Zemi: No I meant, be careful. Sygnus energy… and Arweinydd… well…
Ben: *glances up at Zemi* Wait, what are you saying? That I can…
Zemi: Let’s just think about your father! >_<;;;;;;;;;
Ben: *gently puts his hands on top of Zemi’s, and begins to concentrate, sending his energies into the sword*
Zemi: *concentrates, too* Easy does it, Klu…

Zemi looks kind of nervous… (imagines them touching and Zemi exploding) heh
Zemi:~Let’s not think about you hacking me into little pieces for accidentally sneezing and startling you…~

That’s a great chibi Zemi face. XD

Zemi does look a little disturbed, doesn’t he? I guess I wouldn’t blame him for being Sygnus-nervous after all the times he got stabbed at by Luccious. XD

Oooh! Suspense!

I’m curious to see whether Benjamin might be able (or even have been able) to touch holy-aligned items now that his Sygnus powers have awakened. Touching final frame.

Good speculation, but no, he still can’t. He’s the Shadow side of the Sygnus. Though it’s not so much being a Shadow Sygnus that makes him non-holy-aligned as it is things that were done to him in attempt to enhance the Shadow energies in him.

I love that last panel! <3 XD

I really enjoyed drawing it. I don’t get to draw Ben and Zemi interacting very often like this.

Oh goodness this is getting suspensful, but I don’t doubt their powers of awesomeness. Ben’s just cool like that.
I always look forward to the next comic.
Just sayin, but Wayrift is the best comic I have ever read.

Thank you very much — that made me smile.
Glad you enjoy the comic! So many times I have to keep quiet for fear of spoiling upcoming scenes. I really like when I can release them and watch the feedback, thoughts and speculation on the pages. More often than not, the overall reaction to the scenes help temper future chapters as I get a sense for what character elements need to be revealed or reinforced.
Though we both plan the plot together, I leave most of the overall story concocting to Syn. As for details, we sorta just let the chips fall where the figments throw them and it seems to work.

The two of them look so horribly nervous… I suppose there are a thousand and one ways to screw this badly. Good thing they have the Theory of Narrative Causality on their side XD

How could this go wrong? Let me count the ways….
What is the Theory of Narrative Casualty?

NO! NOT A TVTROPES LINK!!

Sorry, Al. Didn’t know it was so damaging. : o

It even says right in the article that “TV Tropes will ruin your life”.

As someone trapped far too many times on TVTropes, I know how dangerous those links are… But, hey! for a writer it can be a usefull site, once you manage to scape from its clutches XD

Cool! A way to spend my summer that actually has some sort of educational value! (I’m going to regret those words, aren’t I?)

Oh, I see, thanks!
I’m with Almonihah, although it’s more like “What happened to my time? I could swear we just had lunch a little bit ago, and it’s dinner time already?! Where’d all my free time go?”

I just realized how very much alike they look in the last panel….

They have all three generations standing together in order (even if KluYa is stuck in a sword). Go coincidences!
