Zeb: You know, this wasn’t my natural hair color. *pulls his hair with a slight sour face* Then again, Zemus granted me other “gifts.”
BSC: ???
Zeb: What? You don’t think that I was born with this? *makes the armor slick over his hand*
BSC: Stop doing that! *huffs* Zemus is dead.
Zeb: So am I, apparently.
BSC: What was I supposed to do?
Zeb: Tell them that Golbez was your long lost brother under the mindcontrol of a Crystal Master on the moon from an alien civilization?
BSC: *chokes*
Zeb: Of course I didn’t expect you to do that. The political and military situation was shaky enough between the Great Nations. It was better for world peace and unity that the great and nasty Golbez was smote from the earth by the mighty Paladin and the Five Heroes.
BSC: So you understand…
Zeb: Remember, I had control of Baron right up until the last few months.
BSC: Don’t remind me.

Black’s not Zeb’s natural hair color? *thinks back to the chapter where Kory’s explaining stuff*
Syn will have to correct me if I’m wrong… but I believe Zeb’s hair was always a darkish color, but not as dark as it is now.
Now, that’s suspicius.. As Maracate pointed out, didn’t Kory and KY said that he was born with dark hair?! Does it mean that they have something to do with Zemus/Zeromus? Ooh, and I will go on my non-serious line: “YAAY, MORE BSCECIL!!!”
Zeb was born…. BLONDE!
(JUST KIDDING)
Kory is right – he was born with “darker” hair, but not black. He had more of a purple tint to his hair. It kinda looked a bit mismatched with his green eyes… probably didn’t make him the most popular guy to date in his high school class. X>
It is likely the black hair (along with the shadow hand and other peculiarities are due to things that happened to him under Zeromus’ control). They were likely side effects of the experiments that were performed on him to create the perfect tyrant-ruler.
Perfect tyrant ruler? *snorts* Missed the mark on that one.
we all know that you could do/did do so much better.
Hmm, should I even bother trying to hide??
I dunno, it seemed that Tai was in charge of the manor on Runne, or at least sorta. That worked out pretty… well, good for the bad guys. Then again I don’t pretend to know how much of that was Tai and how much was the other one. Zeromous seemed to do a pretty good job of being a tyrant ruler.
Ah, on of my figments wants a word.
Karnuovia: “I have to correct Mr. Assuming here, Zeromous was not good at being a ruler, tyrant or not. See, to the best of Our knowledge (Was that the royal “We” in the form of “Our” used there, oh well), Zeromous wasn’t necessarily directly in charge on Runne, that means we get to judge him based on his actions in Nefol and Zot. In both cases Mr. Evil played the manipulation game, on a rather low level too by the way. First he needed to manipulate a champion into his clutches. Oh well. That worked I suppose. Did it the simple old fashion “You want power?” way too. Please. But I was far more impressed with him messing around with Kippy. Still. Eh. Well I like Kip. Makes me biased I suppose. ”
“As a chess player Zeromous was very good. He was one step ahead of Zemi during the whole Nefol debacle. Well played there. Very well played. Anyway, he wasn’t actually a ruler (again to the best of Our knowledge) because most of the creatures he controlled really didn’t have a will of their own. The marked? No. The weird flying things? No. His champions? Well, that worked by completely crushing their will and making it so they were supposed to be no better than the marked. Zeromous didn’t rule squat. A tyrant has to rule others with will, otherwise they are just a… I hate this comparison… Overmind, a la Starcraft. See a tyrant has to have the skill enough to manipulate and control subjects that have the ability to will. That takes far more skill than simply grabbing someone’s mind and tossing it around.”
“I eagerly await discouvering the extent of things on Runne. Then I can revise my judgment along proper lines. Oh and just because I think Zeromous was dangerous, capable, even wise, with virtu in a Machiavellian sense, does not mean I like him. He was a jerk along the lines of… Well… Starts with a “V,” ends with a “N.”"
Varamortian: “Shut up”
Gah! He’s even more long winded than I am! And he’s picking at technicalities again. But that’s that.
You’ve made a lot of interesting points here.
I would consider Tai to have a very strong leadership personality… he definitely gets it from his father. He just needs to figure out that leadership isn’t just about power and position.
Anyhow, I doubt Tai could ever be a “tyrant” ruler, however, except through mindless manipulation. He’s a grouchy figment but he has a quiet passion for protecting the weak and innocent. It’s part of what got him in the position he was in on Nefol to begin with.
He was the power behind the Manor of Runne. Not all of that was a bad thing for the people, at least, not at first. Not until Zerom’s powers started to manifest again… and things began to go wrong behind the scenes. Zemus was also in a leadership position in the Manor. Considering that Zemus ended up completely consumed as a host for Zeromus, I bet that a lot of orders that Tai refused to carry out were ordered through Zemus.
Makes me wonder if Zeromus finally just got tired of Tai’s stubborn belligerence… which led him to taking a host in Zemus as he did.
I think Zeromus knew he didn’t have the knowledge of the Earthians needed to claim real rulership.. so he used those that had strength, position or charisma to do it in his stead. I think he also saw what a mess Nefol became and chose to try a different, more indirect method the next time through the Manor.
A lot of stuff I haven’t quite mapped out yet.
Karnuovia demands I make a follow up for him.
Karnuovia: “I think Tai’s a pretty good kid, good and capable and with a conscience. Which is better than I can say for some others… As far as Zeromous goes; at least the fool was able to acknowledge his lack of ability when it came to rulership. Use other people who do have the ability.”
“That being said; I have a question. When Zemus uses a champion, is he smart enough to allow said champion it’s own willpower to a degree? I mean, the champions aren’t mindless, even as they carry out Zeromous’ will, but, I suppose, my question is: How much does Zeromous micromanage? Does he give them a goal to be accomplished and let them at it, or does he give them a goal and tell them what to do to accomplish it? I’m interested in these things. Though I suppose Zeromous might be flexible enough to do both.”
“After all this makes the difference between someone who was a pawn simply following orders without a choice and someone who was a pawn but could choose his own moves (and so would me more, hmm, guilty). And which one is Ben and Zeb? Thank you.”
My he’s feeling chatty. Huh.
So in the end, Tai won. He was more stubborn than Zeromus.
Technically, you could say that. Sometimes stubbornness is a virtue?
It’s not stubborness, it’s determination! DETERMINATION! XD In fact it’s the same thing with a different name, but you get my drift XD
Hahah… Determination is a nice way of saying it. Tai has reckless determination in droves. Just ask anyone who’s tried to stop him from doing something he wants to do. XD
Cecil really doesn’t like to be reminded that Zeb is Golbez does he?
Cecil: Stop doing evil things!
And Zeb loves to show off just to freak him out. XD
Every page of these two gets better. Zeb gets hotter. BSCecil’s chibis (even angry or moody) get more adorable. XD
I second that. XD
You’re right, Zeb is hot, hot and hot!!
The fact that I find myself seconding (fourthing?) this kinda frightens me….
I have a friend who refers to him as “Pretty Zeb!” every time she sees him, before breaking into a sudden bout of giggling and fangirl squeeing.
It’s all a lie! Zeb dies his hair black to appeal to the emo-goth fangirls so they swoon over him more! It matches better with his dark, stormy past.
I think a certain little dragon-lunar princess needs a reminder by having her PIGTAILS pulled!
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it worked, tho. some of those emo-goth fangirls have some pretty odd tastes, more than usual (hehehe!!)
Emo-Goth fangirls? Zeb? Emo-Goth fangirls? ZEB? What?
Wait… Zeb has fangirls?
Hold it. Yes. Of course he does. That makes total sense! I’m sure Darth Vader has some too…
Though, as Zeb does have fangirls, why not Emo-Goth fangirls? They have to come from some kind of demographic, right? (This is not meant to be offensive to any Emo-Goth people/fangirls, I’m just saying. I have absolutely nothing against the Emo/Goth people out there; like any group there are good ones and bad ones). But I suppose there could be other demographics in there too, not everyone who is a fan of Zeb is Emo-Goth I’m sure (or a girl for that matter). See, this is what happens when I get overly worried about offending people. (But seriously, I’m not trying to offend anyone here, no intent, can’t have hate speech charges put against me or anything. No intent!).
This leads to the ultimate question then… who has better armour, Darth Vader or Zeb? (Now. Where did I get that from?)
Zeb definatly had better armor. Plus he can at least survive without his armor. Vader would die from removing pieces of it, since the suit breathes for him.
Secondly, I have to say that the way Zeb controls his armor, is quite possibly the most awesomely original idea I have seen. I want a set of armor like that!
I’m sure he’d give it to you if he could….
I agree! Zeb’s armor is a really, really cool idea! It’s tough to try to draw and put on the page, though. I’m sure I don’t get it quite right.
Zeb probably wouldn’t agree and yes, I’m sure he’d give it to you if that was possible. ^_~
PS – I’m a Zeb fangirl and I’m not an EMO/Goth. XD
