You’re technically right if you base it off of a true Japanese pronunciation. But seeing that it’s not true Japanese and the author messes up pronunciation… not to mention Tai probably has some sort of accent… I tend to say “Sue-Mee”.

Heh, I love Tsu’s puzzled face- especially the eyebrows. Poor Tsu doesn’t realize yet that Ben doesn’t remember him at all, instead of just not recognizing him. Also, I find the last panel funny since Ben would usually tower over Tsu.

I pronounce it Tsu mey tie… Tsume means claw or talon. That’s where I thought it came from.
I also love Tsu’s confused face. XD

My pleasure! I searched many dictionaries to find the right name that would start with “Tsu” for him when I developed him in Shimmer.
I was not aware of other anime characters named “Tsume” at the time.

okay one: theres a Tsume in Wolfs Rain, two: i always pronounced it Sue-may-tie…but it sounds different in my head so…and poor Tai! “im here to ave you!” “you’re a kid” “i dont know you”…just take the help and run with it ask questions later…
