Kip: He was pretty solitary, you know. That’s kinda how he is. Private. But he did seem to regret things that happened… he said there were people that he missed.
Zazo: *slams poor Kip down* I KNEW IT! *jumps up and down* I know deep inside.. he still wants to be my servant!
Kip: If you care about him… why would you want him to be your servant?
Zazo: |: O What type of question is THAT?!
Kip: A normal, Earthian question about love.
Zazo: LOVE?
Kip: Love.
Zazo: *snarls* Are you insinuating that I feel an Earthian attachment like LOVE? *pffft* Earthians are supposed to LOVE us! Throw themselves to their hands and knees… TsuYa WANTS to do just that. It’s just that… *closes her eyes* Well, that… *spurts it all out* Zemi’s done something to his fragile mind! You know how Earthians are! Look at how easy it is to scramble your brain! I will remedy that.. so that he comes to my side… willingly.
*Headdesk* oh Zazo, you do know that De Nile isn’t just a river in Egypt right? Your propobly more like Zemi than you’d like to admit.
Also, the third panel made me die of laughter, so now I need a white mage, or someone who knows CPR, or someone with a lightning spell and enough control over it to not make be all dark and crispy.
You… You… You didn’t just… You didn’t just say that. De Nile. River in Egypt… My IB history teacher said that all the time. “The Qing thought De Nile was a river in Egypt…” Oh my. Though it fits.
And I wonder, having not gotten that far in Shimmer quite yet, we don’t know if Kip is lying or not! Hmm. Now we get to wonder about how much Tai did tell Kip…
Oh and we just read some of the Canterbury tales for Lit. Just finished the Wife of Bathe’s tale and prologue. Looks like Zazo is gunning for dominion right now too! But hey, as Nietzsche says, so is everyone else! Or not. Whatever. Too much university for me…
Yes the leap is awesome. But guess what? I also love the facial expressions. Again, lots of emotion there. Great job.

Oh Zazo . . . you are so conceited, and yet we love you so much. You are our favorite wolfy :3 Who’s a big bundle of fluff! *huggles* Hey, YOU’RE the one who said earthians LOVE you ;P I do believe Zazo is becoming one of my favorite characters. Her, Ben, Leona, and Zemi. Oh, and Edward and Chocobo Hair. That’s a lot of people O.o
Panels three and four are my favorites. I love Zazo’s little eyelashes ^.^ and her LEAP is epic. I’m so sad she’s becoming ebil Zazo again in the last panel! It’s nicely done, though, her emotions transcending into it.
Zazo is a fun character — I’m sure you can tell Syn has a ball letting her throw her weight around in these chapters. She can be so erratic at times, which can be good and bad for her and people she’s trying to connect with.
She definitely presents an adventure for Tai.

Nice page. Zazo can get a little possesive and side tracked, huh? (ZOMG) Also, I finished reading Darkstar, and was constantly reaching for the tissue box in the end, it was so happy/sad!!! I was listening to one song during that whole time, Light Surrounding You, by Evermore. It just seemed to suit the mood. Loved all the pages you have done in all the comics your’ve done so far, guys!!!
Glad you enjoyed Darkstar — thanks so much for reading it! It was a story that was long time in the revisions! Hopefully that gives a bit more insight into some of the Wayrift situations and characters.
It would be nice to see chase/aur more often in wayrift though.

Tho i do love the bottum half of the page Zazos really well draw, their human expressions on a wolf,so perfect, and shes so conceited “i dont love! you love me because im awesome and thats the end of it!”
Zazo doesn’t like earthians, yet she still takes on the form of one, albeit a creature. It just doesn’t make much sence.
PS: for future refference, I can’t spell, even in the NZ version of english, so watch out for that, just do you know…

Think the emphasis might have been better on the “supposed” and/or “us” in panel 5 – “Earthians are supposed to love US!” as that makes it the opposite of her loving a mere Earthian.
