Leona: o_O; But she was a Moonar, right?
Ben: Yeah. Joran… *pauses as if he rarely says her name* Joran was a friend of my father’s, I think. Originally. But when he didn’t come back from the Blue Planet, she found out I was his son, and she tracked me down. Once she found my room, that was it. She’d sneak her way in whenever she wanted to. Just to visit… sorta like you do. I kept to myself most the time and she was probably the only Lunar friend I had. But she’d never let me stay alone for too long. Eventually, I just accepted it. And sometimes even taught her some magic.
Okay… NOW we get to see a sincerely sad Ben.

4th panel Joran kind of reminds me of Ty Lee from Avatar…as far as the smile and pose go. That’s really the only Ty Lee resemblance though.

Drawing Ben this sad pulls at my heartstrings. I hope you folks don’t mind if he vents just a little bit. I try to keep things from being angsty (angsty Ben is a scary thought!), but there are a lot of unspoken issues that Ben could really use getting off his chest.
I’m rusty at drawing poor Joran. I really haven’t drawn her that often considering how long her character has been around. ^^;
i love the second to last panel, it’s so cute, and Ben’s expression is so similar to the one he make’s when leona breaks in, it made me laugh out loud, and i think my brother thinks i’m insane now:p (took him long enough to figure it out >.<)

Also so he can be normal. Having to carry all that stuff can’t be aaaaaaaany fun. Panel four made me laugh, too XD also when Leona said “Moonar.”
I do need to point out something: In the last panel, there’s a word missing, I think. It says, “I kept to myself most the time,” but I think it’s supposed to say, “I kept to myself most OF the time.”
Stormcloud: Actually, were I to speak that sentence aloud, I’d have left off the word “of,” too. I don’t think it’s technically wrong either way you say it. But maybe that’s just me!
Oh! Well, I sort of guessed that MIGHT be it, but I wasn’t sure, because ‘I’ would never leave ‘of’ out. I’m too particular, I guess. I figured I’d point it out just in case. Glad it’s not actually a problem ^.^
Incidentally, I heard somewhere that the word ‘of’ isn’t processed well by the brain or something. I thought that was really weird until I tested myself, and found it was true. XD
