Ch29 Pg6
Kip: Not your choice? *swings down from the cockpit*
Drake: We are born according to our talent and duties. *jumps down, too* My purpose is to remove aberrations from the system.
Kip: *puts his coat on* We can’t help what we are born as. And have little choice in what we’re made into even after the fact, it seems. *murmurs, touching his face plate* There’s not a lot of choice in anything… just a lot of chance… a lot of luck, good or bad… and a ton of circumstance.
Drake: Nonsense. *looks at Kip* I have no doubt that you got yourself into the situation that you did.
Kip: Probably.
Drake: Had nothing to do with luck or chance. *pfft*

Such vastly varied belief systems. It’s interesting to see the differences in the two worlds.
I think Drake is is a pessimist :* Booo. Poor Kipu.
Wow, the scene has changed drematicly from funny and happy to thoughtful and dark.
I really like Drakes face on the 2nd and last pannels ^^
I would say something deep and thought-provoking, but my brain is all mushy right now thanks to the Calculus AP Exam…
*glomps them both*
Interesting stuff with the layout today. The black of the Kip silhouettes makes the panels kind of blend together. Don’t know if that as intentional, but kind of a neat effect.
They’re two different kinds of pessimists, now aren’t they. ^^; I must agree that power of choice is a very important element of life and self–one that many people overlook when they begin to debate between ‘tabula rasa’ and predetermined characteristics and situations.
Maybe I’m thinking about this too much.
