Drake: *picks up a poster sitting on the ground* I think we’ve found our venue. With a little work… we could have an entry in this race.
Kip: That’s true. But it costs money to get a good running ship. And Zazo is not exactly thinking about our finances.
Drake: Can we do something a little less distasteful than stealing scraps from animals?
Kip: *rubs his chin with a frown* Well… there was one guy I did business with here in Baron. But I don’t know what’s happened with him since then.
Drake: Good enough.
Kip: He’s a human. And he’s a little strange… even for a human.
Drake: Do you want Golbez?
Kip: You’re the one that doesn’t like working with humans.
Aw, come on, Drake, you’re out to kill off a bloodline - who are you to whine about stealing airship parts? XD
Hey! Kip’s getting better! He heard the name Golbez without hissing!
I like the shading change - It’s not overly soft, but it still reminds me of cel shading. Good job! ^^
Wait, is Kip talking about Mr. Big-Nosed Noble?
Thanks for your feedback on the style, Pika! So far that’s three for three in the way of positives. It takes a little bit longer to do, but I really want to practice with backgrounds and shading. So be looking for the changes to move in this direction.
Oh… and it just MIGHT have something to do with a big nosed noble. Good guess.
hmm, definitely a yay for the new shading style. The facial shading - in every panel - delights me ^^
Only thing I could add is following the lines you’ve put in for the folds of Drake’s cloak a bit more closely.

Don’t thwap yourself for the Dreigiau chapters. It’s completely okay. I have been lazy in motivating myself to write the next new fill-in chapter anyhow.

Big-nosed noble?
The funny thing about kip is just how he views Ben. If he thinks of him solely as Ben theres never really a problem. But the second he thinks of Ben as Golbez thats when he starts tenseing up. I wonder if he just tried to think of Ben as Ben and not who he used to be his programming would either short out or at least settle. But who knows only time will know lol.
Poor Human.. I wonder what killed his mind.
