Ben: *sitting on his bed, just the start of night outside his window, the moonlight starting to filter in, looks droopy and morose… holding his Marnie plushie* How was I supposed to know it was a trick? I just knew that the Dragon appeared in the throne room and took Dad away. And I really thought Dad was in danger!
Poor Benny-boy!!
At least you have Marnie to keep you company!

Heh. Poor pouty Ben…This is really adorable. Come to think of it, feels like it’s been forever since we’ve seen him.
Yeah! I’ve been waiting for this arc now for a while. Because while Kip is awesome, and Drake can be amusing, Ben is highly more glomp-able than either of them. Oh, and I highly approve of the new Wayrift homepage pic. ^_^
I have to say that I was also glad to get back to drawing Ben and Leona. For me… it HAS been forever since I’ve worked on them.
My goal for this chapter is to better familiarize myself with drawing Leona, actually. I’m working hard to improve her design and get some practice in that area.
Oh… and I’m glad to know people still cheer when they see Ben. Even if is is moping. XD

I likes the reflection of the moon in the window, gives the bottom panel a good sense of being somewhere in the area rather than just a room… floating…
