Kip: *gets up, pulling himself up to a panel — he knocks on the outsid and it flips it open* Hah! *he tinkers a little, then suddenly, with a splutter the emergency lights flicker and turn on along the floor*
Drake: This place… ?
Kip: *turns to Drake, his eye reflecting in the strange light* Welcome to the Tower of Zot, friend.
Drake: Zot..? *peers around for a moment* Zot… >: }
Kip: *smirks, too, continuing to tinker with the machine* Mmmmyep.

Ooooh snap. This is weird.
Doesn’t this place have, you know….bad memories for him? Just saying.
….I wonder if Alert is still there? He must be so lonely!

*goes Alert-hunting, hoping that Cecil didn’t slay him when he came through before*
I love Kipster’s expression in the bottom-left panel… I’m going to try and train my face to do it… maybe someday I’ll even get it down and go and cosplay him!

…Alert, yes, but I was wondering what Tsu would think. Just how late on into Kip’s transformation did he see… and if all of it, how far into the deterioration of his sanity?
Apart from the Cecils/everyone, that’s one meeting I’m really looking forward to seeing.

Waitwaitwait - didn’t you say that Tsu ended up with Zemi (I’d guess in a similar, albeit willing, version of Kip)? Then, if Zazo is going after Zemi with Kip and they /do/ catch him (or whatever you do with a Dreigau)… O.o
Ah, the joys of speculation; I will laugh evilly, even if I’m completely wrong. Nyeh heh heh.
Kumatsu: Hehehe, you come as OMEGA!Kip and I’ll do Marked!Tai… spikes and all (because spikes are awesome. I’d look look like a fool trying to pull off Chewtoy, but I can do one hell of a grumpy, sarky, insult-the-world-before-it-insults-you. XD We’d rule the world with our combined ability to chew faces off with a look.
So, cristal war 3 is starting?
On one side is Omega the ultimate Globes killer,
and anti mage.
On the secont side is 2 former dark lords/Cristalmaker each with an I-cristal, and another older crystalmaster, and at last no one but Zemi Dreague.
So who is going to win?

Also, I don’t think Alert is there still. I’m not sure what happens to it just yet, but I don’t think it lasts the fall of Zot.
Ven: That’s a very good point about Tsu. By this point, he ha been taken by Zemi in the same way Kip was taken by Zazo. But they won’t meet up again for a long time — Zemi wouldn’t send Tsu out to battle his old friend. That’s just not Zemi’s way.
Sjussi: Those are some good observations! And you are right, I need to find a place to put links up to the other stories on the site again. I was thinking about that.
I’m half-expecting the computer to do that “Kip! =)” Thing. XD
Hmm… At exactly what point did Zemi “Take” Tsu? Somewhere before the crystal wars, I assume, but that leaves a pretty wide timeframe.
You know, Kip looks a lot more sane when you can’t see his good eye ^.^ I hope he meets Alert! Or at least fixes him up to patrol. And then he could get attached to Drake! Oh, the fun that could be had!
Pika: You’ll see that scene happen close to the end of Shimmer. If I ever get there. ^^;;
Kazemi: I seriously hadn’t thought about something like that. Hahaha… Alert following Drake around would be far more fatal than trying to hug Tsu though.

And yeah, I was looking at pictures of Kip, and I think I could probably get mi madre to make me a OMEGA cosplay outfit pretty easily…. the only problem would be convincing her to make it.
Alert and Zemi? Am I crazy, or are they somehow similiar? I can see them being bestest friends and ganging up on people with cheerful enthusiasm and unwavering luvs…

Wayrift is updated three times a week — Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. I usually update the night before, just a little before midnight, Eastern Standard Time in the US.

Bex: This comic is one part of a lot of different stories. Each story takes place in the Blue Planet world at a different time. What a lot of people are talking about are characters from my other comic called “Shimmer”.
“Shimmer” takes place before Wayrift and tells the story of Ben when he was a teenager. Many of the characters that show up in Shimmer will show up in Wayrift (such as Kip). If you’re interested in reading Shimmer, you can find a link to it on the left-side menu — in the blue box called “More Stories from this World”.
If you’re interested, there are other stories there as well. “Dreigiau” and “Darkstar” are online novels instead of comics, though.
Ah, I remember when I was confused by all the inside jokes on the comment log… now I help make them!

You’re definitely getting better, Cali! Your coloring is amazing lately. Just practice, practice practice! That’s the one good thing about holding fast to an update schedule like this every week. I’m always forced to practice!

wow bex! you should put some stuff online so we can see. (the truth is all artists only see their mistakes because THEY made it! therefore THEY know where every single one is!!!!) makes them kinda feel bad…. (we definitely cannot see them at first glance so comeon if not for us then for advice on how to get better??
(oh and thanx aywren… for yours I don’t know where I should have started to say you got better so I’ll just say YOUR GETTING BETTER TOO)
