Zemi: And you said his name is Zeb, yes? *looks at KY*
KY: It’s a short name. He didn’t particularly like Golbez much. *sighs* I don’t see why. It was a fine name…
Zemi: You know — kids?
KY: Yeah… *sad look as he cleans the knife* I don’t know what happened to this one… it would seem that something did a number on him, physically… and… mentally…
Zeb: *struggles as the image of KY with the knife shifts into the image of Lugae with the knife*
KY: He’s certainly not the boy that I knew…
Zemi: *looks down* I have seen a similar thing happen before… to others.

Can Zemi not sense Zeb?
And who is this Lugae person? Would he be the equivalent of Ben’s TsuMe or O.M.E.G.A./Kip?
If I remember the game correctly Lugea was a mad scientist wright?
Dr. Lugae was a most vile mid-boss type of enemy in FF4. It is implied that he is the principal “monster-maker” in the game, turning people (sometimes unwilling) into monsters. I’d have to say that he was one of the most evil people in the game. He seemed to take a lot of pleasure in his role.
In the case of Wayrift, he tends to — for both Ben and Zeb — have done various experiments on the two Golbei. In Zeb’s case, he was responsible for the implantation of his armor, amongst other things.

Is Zemi talking about Lucci, or perhaps TsuYa?
Dr. Lugae gives me shivers, man… It’s like every kid’s evil doctor nightmare realized. Only worse.
Pika: Good observation. I was thinking that he was talking about TsuYa. But it could be a reference to Lucci, too. You’re right!

Cali: Lucci is a character from Dreigiau. ^_~ He’s currently on the newest cover art for that section of the site.

Lugae=Mega-creepy. As in, other villains apologized for his behavior. yeeks. He’s a lot worse than OMEGA–completely different class of badness.
Also, I’d like to day that the art has improved quite a bit recently. It’s noticably more polished and clean. I love it.
Thanks, Gwinna. I’m starting to get the hang of the whole tablet thing as I go along. I think it’s what has really made the biggest difference. This wasn’t actually my favorite page out of this week’s works… but I’m still glad you think there’s an improvement.
I see a lot of improvement in Shimmer, moreso — I was pretty happy with the way the current few pages have come out.
Oh.. and just for the record. Lugae IS worse than OMEGA… considering Lugae was the one that turns Kip into OMEGA in the first place. Project OMEGA is one of Lugae’s experiments. But you’ll have to see how that pans out in Shimmer. :/
