ZPs: *swirl and shift, leaping away, making a break for the door* ^^;;;;
Ben: He’s… trying to escape?
Leona: *slams the door in front of the ZPs* I DON’T THINK SO!
ZPs: *screech to a stop* : /
Leona: BENJAMIN! NOW! GET HIM!
Ben: Alright!! *reaches up his hand and does the only thing he knows how to do that would be of any effect on an energy form… tries to draw the energy in like he would a spell*

It’s the magic vacuum of sword-ness!! I want!
And I love the e-motes of Zemi-ness!

D’aww! *pets Zemi* Sensible Dreigau, even if it is a little undignified. I mean, upset protective Ben, with Zeb egging him on? O.o Trouble in the works…
And as for panel three, looks like Zemi is the real ‘star’ of the show. But he knew that anyway, didn’t he? XD

…
Um…not what I expected, but that’s Zemi for you.
Love the sparklies aywren.
They came out really good. *Wants to steal the sparklies*

Luv Zemi’s plan of action here! XD Totally unexpected and, for that reason and others, hilrious. Hehe, the ZP talks in emotes. XD
I really hope Aiden gets up soon.

Hooooonononono. No escaping for the Zemi… and no vacuuming ZPs for the Ben. This cannot go well.

Heh… well, Zemi’s doing everything he can not to pick a fight with Ben and Zeb right now. His first “meeting” with his grandkids didn’t go so well, did it?
And yes! Vaccum the ZPs, Ben! Zemi needs a good vacuuming!

What’ll happen when he vaccumes the ZP’s? Couldn’t Zemi have phased through that door (“It’s only wood”)? And where is Kory?
P.S. I had this idea of a fluffy Zemi-couch with ZP’s, and I’m working on it. I’ll hopefully have it up on dA by friday ^^;

Jenna: Yay! I can’t wait to see! ^^
I was WONDERING when someone would bring up that question — why didn’t he just phase through the door. And you’re absolutely right. Wood really wouldn’t stop Zemi when he’s in his light form. He could just move through it.
Call it an Author brain fart. I didn’t even THINK about it when I was scripting this scene. In fact, I didn’t even think about it until I went to draw this page and said “Wait a sec…”
Besides, for the sake of the plot, we needed to keep Zemi from running away. It’s more fun that way. Trust me. XD

But one of the funny things about this scene is the fact that two pages back, the last thing that Zemi says is: “Sorry boys… you’re giving me no other choice…”
And in my head I keep finishing that line off with:
“..but to… RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY!”
XD

XD Bahahahhahahha!! And couldn’t Zemi resist being sucked in by Ben?

Good question. And Ben is surprised by Zemi’s lack of resistance too.
There are a lot of reasons for this:
1- Ben is a potential Sygnus (dormant though he may be). This does give him a lot of power to use against Zemi, who is an Arweinydd. Even if Ben doesn’t understand that yet himself.
2- Zemi’s power as an Arweinydd is in direct conflict to the energies of the Blue Planet at this point. You’ll see a lot more about this later. Basically… Arweinydd tap into the energies of the world for their strength. And this is not the Nefol world that Zemi developed alongside of. This is a completely different world… and at this point, the Blue Planet is rejecting him. Which leads to…
3- Zemi is not nearly as powerful as he was in Dreigiau at this point. Because he’s lost his chosen people… and lost his connection to his planet (Nefol). Not to mention he gave up a lot of his power in battles against Luccious and helping to create the Crystals of the Blue Planet. All these things will be talked about later, too.
There is a LOT going on with Zemi that he’s playing off behind that confident, fangy grin. But not all is as Zemi wants people to believe.

XD I totally did not expect that…
Can Zemi talk in his ZP form?
Give Luv:

Sigma: I’m pretty he can talk while in ZP form. I don’t have a documented place where he did off the top of my head, but since his “original” form is light, I doubt he has that much trouble communicating.
Though I do know, as a rule, when in his little Zemidragon form, he tends not to talk.
Zemi is just one of the few characters that I’ve chosen to use emoticons as part of normal speech in the comic. Though in the process of scripting, Syn and I often write in emoticons for other characters, I usually edit them out when I post the script… and very, very rarely let them show up in speech bubbles.
Zemi objected to my editing of his emoticons. So I left them for him.. and they’ve become somewhat of a trademark speech pattern! XD
