KY: Don’t worry Dad… the world is just going to need to go through… some adjustments?
Zemi: Sorry… sorry… It’s just that… I’ve never been able to hug… my own son… before.
KY: *looks at Zemi* … *crunch hugs Zemi*
Zemi: *deep happy sigh* Maybe it’s completely unsmooth to be thrown in jail… but I’m happy to have found you.
KY: *looks up at the sounds of guards coming down the staircase* Uh, Dad… how good are you at busting through stone walls?
Zemi: *grouchy face* It’s only stone.
>D Unsmooth. LOVE that line. Also, the chibi hug panel is just ADORABLE.. I also love how Zemi is like “It’s only stone” and looks confused like he thinks KY should have no trouble walking through walls.

ha, “it’s only stone” is that going to turn into Zemi’s signature quote? I kinda wanna know… is it because Zemi is so important that, thats why he never got to hug KY?

Melly: Actually, it’s because Zemi spent all of his time after KY was born.. up until this very point in Wayrift… in an insubstantial state of existence. We’ll just say that he had a showdown with a certain Dark Sygnus and neither of them got out of it in one piece.
Which is why at the beginning of Shimmer, Zemi has to send Aur down to do his work for him. At that point, Zemi wasn’t powerful enough to even effect things on the Blue Planet — he had divided up all of his remaining energy to help KY create the elemental crystals of the Darkstar world. Though he could speak to KY, he couldn’t manifest physically… thus, he’s never, until now, been able to physically hug his own son.
