Ch24 Pg10
Zemi: *reaches his hands around the bars… which begin to groan and shake, turning red and then white with extreme heat where his fingers grip the metal*
KY: Just… met…al…
Zemi: *just metal comes away in his hand as he gives the bars a quick jerk* Messy.
-A Little While Later…-
KY: *sneaky look as he steps out of his cell* The problem is, we have to find another way out.. other than through the guards?
Zemi: *chokes a little* Klu…?

Now we see why he said “It’s just metal.” LOL
I foresee a father & son moment *involving hugs* coming on. *Waits for next page with tissues nearby*
(First post. Neh. XD)
*blinkablink* Hey, Yllamse, you going to have any spare tissues?
On an artistic note, I love this page. It’s got everything - special effects, great expressions, and those last two portraits are… beautiful, really.
(It’s almost scary how exactly like an older version of KY Zemi looks.)
…I’ve also always wondered how you draw the angled panels, Aywren. Do you draw them at that angle, or rotate them later.?
Ven: Actually, since I draw all roughs on a sheet of paper, I actually do draw slanted frames slanted from the get-go. In a general sense, I tend to draw with my paper slanted to the side anyhow. It’s funny how more things don’t come out crooked that way. Now, drawing slanted on the paper is fine since you can turn the paper if you need to… but doing the same thing on a computer screen with a tablet is a little more tricky. But I manage somehow! XD
Glad you like the page! I was pretty pleased with how it turned out myself. Melting the bars in the first three frames came out pretty close to what I had in my head.
The whole page is fantastic!
I love the look on Zemi’s face.
Bea-ut-y-full! This is my first comment, I love this comic, awsome art, a deep storyline, and ssoooo funny. Who could ask for more?
Jadeitte: Welcome to the Wayrift! It’s great to meet you! Thanks for your kind words and encouragement. It’s always exciting to see someone’s first post!!
