KY: *frowns at Ben, quickly putting on his vest* I have to get to Baron. NOW.

Ben: But… what… what’s going on, Dad?

KY: Korio is letting his ego get in the way of our safety! *angry look*

I think I know the answer to that… Kory doesn’t let his ego get in the way of things when he’s having it used against him. His ego got KluYa off the mountain the first time and that lead to Ben actually freeing him later.
