Drake: *looks at Zeb curiously for a moment* Turtles.. are easily cracked out of shells.
Ben: Zeb … you… you don’t have to do this… he wanted me…
Drake: Too late. I want you both. And it starts with you.
Zeb: Not today, Hunter! *rushes at Drake*
Ben: *lowers his brow and charges with Zeb*

Oh wait… Zeb does, too. He’s just not doing it right now. *flips back to earlier chapters* Yeah, they should have a “I’m more evil” smirk contest sometime…

Hmm…that’s an interesting way to hold a spear. I guess BS Baron must have some interesting hidden fighting techniques that I don’t understand?

Well, if he’s going to flick it upwards, it makes sense… Use your left hand as a pivot point while you bear down with the right, and the blade could slice through someone’s neck all right.
Avemair sez:
Yeah, but the point of a spear or a polearm is to use the leverage to your advantage. You wouldn’t want your hands so close together, and so close to the blade at the same time. It makes it really clumsy - and ends up just getting knocked out of your hands really easily.
That’s why I’m asking if this is a BS style of some sort.

If you want to consider that. Or just call it unrealistic for the sake of the art — I wanted to show at least a little bit of the spearhead in there so people could tell what it was. I never boasted drawing weaponry and fights well. Sorry. ~~;

Whoa, hang on there. That wasn’t intended to be a criticism at all. Just a goofy meaningless comment where my mind was wandering. Trust me, there’s no real problem with that. People use weapons in odd ways all the time that kind of blow me away. Like broadswords - apparently knights grabbed above the handleguard with their left hand. As in, part of the blade. Why? No idea.
But it wasn’t meant to be an insult at all. Sorry if it seemed that way.

Don’t worry, Avemair — there was no insult taken. What I said was the truth though, it really is drawn that way mostly for the sake of art. And I really do feel I have a long way to go when it comes to drawing realistic weaponry and fights. ^^;
