I can see a great deal of trouble happening when Ben-rabbit *finds* a place to open this rift. There’s always trouble when people don’t shut dimension doors behind them…usually fun trouble, though. I dunno WHO’LL turn up next. Prob’ly find half Ceiswyr in a broom closet or something equally daft.

In fact, I bet there’s a great amount of interesting stuff you might find in a broom closet in the Borderlands. A gate to the World of Mirrors…a huge gem from the heart of the Crystal World…the Dreigiau and Bahamut playing blackjack…

Siren, ancestress of the Bard Kings of Damcyan, fallen asleep in the middle of a song…a talking skull that predicts the weather and gives you the nine-o-clock news a day early in a flawless imitation of any major news anchor you care to name…the crimson sword of the ancient warrior Light…

A perfectly square map of the world…a spell for time travel…a small dragon…a copy of every book ever printed…a golem with the head fallen off…

A set of infinite Russian dolls, starting ten feet tall and going down to microscopic…a half-eaten bowl of popcorn, a stack of old-time B-movies and a sign saying ZENTO WAS HERE…

Ten thousand empty crates of cherry Pop-Tarts, a book of jokes even sillier than ‘What is the difference between a duck? One of it’s legs are both the same!’ and a sign saying ZEMI WAS HERE!

Actually… our closets in Wayrift are quite unusual, indeed. As for your thought about leaving the rift open… you’re on to something. ^_~

S’just common sense.

I guess that goes to show Ben’s a little lacking in that area? :p J/K He does want to “hide” it… and will do a good job of it. But it’s not a good enough job to keep it away from those who can “tell” these things. You know what I mean?

Agla sez:

Exactly. Sir Benjamin has gotten a little…cocky? Oversure of his own magical ability? Fwau, not even a *god* can hide doors good enough that they won’t be found again. Door-opening and Key-making’s the biggest and oldest form of proper magic there is. It’s so old and strong that there really is not much that can be done to control it.

…’Master of the Infinite Ways’, *right*. If *anyone’s* Master of those Ways, I’m the Dreigiau’s great-aunt.

Aywren sez:

Eh… I wouldn’t say he’s cocky about it. I’m sure he knows his limitations. It’s more like he doesn’t quite foresee what could happen… mostly because he doesn’t think in such a devious manner. He’s currently more concerned about helping his father than about rift portals.

His title “Master of the Infinite Ways” was actually something given to him by the Lunars (who have no control at all of the Ways)… and was not something self-chosen. On another note, one must not discard the knowledge of Sygnus that Ben does still hold… there’s more mastery there than one could first imagine.

Agla sez:

*gets the look of a person who’s just realised something horrible* Ah. I *see*. What we have *here* is a well-meaning, intelligent person who’s only trying to help.

He was less dangerous as a Dark Lord!

Oh my, why do I feel as if that black-haired Tyrant may be causing trouble soon? or is it the person we should be more worried about than him, if I remember a quote from earlier?

Agla sez:

*I’m* expecting trouble from a totally new quarter. All Zeb’s done is pop up like the Demon King in a panto, terrify everyone, make some vague statement about Aiden being evil, and disappear off to smirk about it. Until he gives some kind of coherent explanation as to *why* we should believe that Aiden is evil, I’m just gonna chalk it all up to the same kind of mentality that makes people knock on doors and run away.

Aywren sez:

Oooh no. This isn’t knock-and-run. Think about it. In a face off, he and Ben were pretty much on even ground. So to get to Aiden… against Ben, Leona, Aiden and Kory would be a LOT harder… …than if Zeb waited until Ben and Leona LEFT to strike. >:}

Agla sez:

Oh *fwau*.*blinks*In which case I should be *encouraging* Ben to get this rift open as soon as possible!*cheers him on*Go Rabbit!

…eidolons of my Pack Lady, I’m encouraging a Well-Meaning Person to open a dimension door without shutting it. There must be something in the water round here. o.O

Could be. It is the Wayrift, afterall. Can never tell. XD
