Leona: Well… I… *blinks* Talk about on the spot…
Ben: *chokes* ?
Leona: *looks at Ben and grumbles* I… guess so…
Ben: *looks a little weak in the knees… having not expected that answer from her* You don’t have to say that just because… *wrinkles brow* I don’t blame you if you don’t, you know. It’s not like I’ve given you a lot of reason to trust me.

Even though the results weren’t really as effective as could be hoped for (so far)… I kindof like how Aiden’s handling the situation. He’s looking for a solution, instead of dwelling on the problem. I would have been there, saying nothing but “it’s not your fault, Ben, it’s not your fault!” Fat lot of good that would do.

Yeah, I think Aiden has a way of trying to pull Ben out of thinking too hard about himself by focusing on other people here. Which is really effective for bringing Ben around, honestly. Right now, Ben’s just not quite ready to make peace with himself. It takes a long time before Ben finally does — so this is just the start.
